ABOUT THE JURORS:
JANET ARMENTANO has been teaching high school art for over 30 years. She is responsible for the portfolio development of students in subject areas such as drawing, painting, ceramics, color theory, sculpture and Advanced Placement art courses. She enjoys mentoring her students to help them prepare for art exhibitions and to gain acceptance to colleges and art schools.
Janet was the department head at Conard High School in Art in West Hartford, CT where she taught for 9 years before relocating to Holliston. Janet taught a variety of classes in Holliston for 13 years where she was instrumental in expanding student interest and art department offerings. She currently teaches at Wayland High School where she has been a member of the art department since 2000. Janet also offers small group art lessons in her home.
Janet earned her BFA in Graphic Design and Painting from the University of Connecticut, her teaching degree from the University of Hartford, and her Masters in Studio Art from Framingham State College.

MARC COTE is a professor of studio art at Framingham State College and currently serves as the Chair of the Art and Music Department there. He is the President of the Boston Printmakers, an international artists' group. He also sits on the Board of the Danforth Museum of Art in Framingham.
Cote received his BFA from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. He erned his MFA from the University of Connecticut in Storrs.
Cote's solo shows include the Conwell Gallery in Provincetown, the Perrin Gallery in Brookline, the Kingston Gallery in Boston, and Bently College in Waltham. He has been juried into numerous group exhibitions in local, national and international venues such as the 13 Forest Gallery in Arlington, the International Print Center of New York, William Patterson University in NJ, Louisia State University, the Santa Cruz County Art Museum in CA, and the Kyoto International Woodprint Association in Japan.

KEY INFORMATION ABOUT THE SHOW:
Submissions are welcome and encouraged from artists in all communities. Arts/Wayland membership is required to be eligible for the show. Joining can occur at time of submission of artwork. Show is open to 2D and 3D artwork, including, but not limited to drawings, paintings, photogaphy, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture and crafts (jewelry, fiber arts, ceramics, etc).
Entry fees (non-refundable) are $10 for up to 3 pieces, payable at drop-off. No size constraints. Pieces will be accepted based on appropriateness to exhibit spaces. All artwork should be framed and/or presented for hanging/display. (No locked cabinet available.) Provide hanging instructions if unusual requirements. NO saw-tooth hangers, clip frames or sandwich frames.
Ribbons and monetary awards ($100, $50, $25) will be presented to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners. Honorable Mention awards are at discretion of jurors. All artwork must be available for sale. Thirty percent (30%) of any sales will be donated to Amazing Things. All artwork will be insured by Amazing Things Art Center for fire, theft, and damage while on the premises.
